I, Henry D. Cremisi, MD FACP, am Chairman and CEO of LifeScape BioSciences which develops Medical Foods that are scientifically rationalized and clinically tested that target conditions that current therapeutic options do not safely and effectively address. I am a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology. I am Co-Chairman of Continuing Medical Education and a practicing Nephrologist and Hospitalist for Novant Healthcare in Charlotte North Carolina. My prior roles have included, Chairman of Nephrology and Dialysis and Chairman of Nutritional Support for Novant Health as well as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner of Southeast Renal Associates . I am an experienced clinical trialist and has conducted phase I thru IV trials for industry. I have 12 years of IRB service including over 5 years as the Medical Chairman of Opus IRB in Atlanta. I am an active and engaging speaker on Scientific, Management, Advocacy and Regulatory issues and speaks and consults on a national basis for several Fortune 500 pharmaceuticals. I am a graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine and McGill University and completed both my medical residency and nephrology fellowship at Emory University. My research experience has dealt in many diverse areas of medicine, including immunologic tolerance, chronic cellular allograft rejection, myasthenia gravis, platelet adhesion and aggregation, vitamin B12-intrinsic factor binding, and ligand receptor physiology. I have previously done cellular and immunologic research at a number of institutions, including Tufts University, McGill University, The Montreal Neurologic Institute, University of Connecticut and Emory University. My principal current research interest is micronutrient interactions and their implications in chronic disease progression. I have many scientific and professional memberships including the International Society of Nephrology, American Society of Nephrology, American College of Physicians, Renal Physicians Association and the American Medical Association.
