Psssttttt...Are you thriving in your life or do you feel as if you are barely surviving? Let's think outside of the box: Imagine as you sleep tonight that a miracle occurs that solved the problem. So when you awake in the morning, what might be the small change that you notice, causing you to say, "Wow, something must have happened--my problem is gone!" ? Now, close your eyes. Imagine how that will feel. How will your life be different? What will you do? By focusing on the 'what' you really want changed, we can then tackle the 'how.' ~~~~~~ Tamatha is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) in the state of North Carolina and also holds the title of a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Tamatha earned her Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, graduating with honors. Furthermore, she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a major concentration in Marketing/Management, and a minor is Psychology. In addition to being trained in Martial Arts from a very young age, Tamatha also developed a love of running from her father, a former Prisoner of War (POW) in the Korean War. Tamatha ran cross-country (All State) and track throughout her junior and high school years, even one year of collegiate cross-country. Now she keeps her sanity by practicing meditation, writing, reading, and challenging herself with mixed martial arts, hot yoga, cycling, hiking, rowing, and weight training. Tamatha loves traveling and learning new languages. ~~~~~~ Tamatha's passion for helping others to better understand themselves and to live a happier life is evident in her supportive demeanor. She continues to serve numerous populations: Military Personnel, Veterans, and Families; Children; and Adults. Her experience encompasses PTSD, TBIs, Adjustment Challenges, Life Transitions, Career Development, among many others. Tamatha loves Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), both of which are goal-directed with a collaborative approach. Oh, and let's not forgot her all time favorite: Positive Psychology! ~~~~~~ "I believe in fully experiencing life and helping others to do the same. I thrive in assisting others with personal empowerment and guiding them to their own path of healthy living: mind, body, and spirit!" ~ Tamatha
